Future City Opportunity for 4th-8th Grade!

Hello 4th-8th Grade GT Students! Below is an email I received containing information about “Future City”. Please let me know if any of you are interested in participating. Future City is an engineering competition for students in grades 4-8, where students do exactly what the title indicates, design a city of the future. This year, the theme is to design a city on the moon! The work the students will be doing can start now, but the competition culminates in February with a virtual Q and A with our judges. There is an essay component, a presentation, and the building of a scale model. There is something for every type of learner in your group. There are literally hundreds of dollars in prizes available to teams this year. If anyone getting this has been interested in Future City in the past, but travelling to the competition or the lack of time has been inhibiting, this is a great year to give it a shot! Please head to www.futurecity.org to find more information, or you can email me directly at joe.percefull@oldham.kyschools.us and I’m glad to help you get your questions answered. Hope you and your students stay healthy, Joe Percefull Regional Coordinator Future City Kentucky
