Hello GT Students! Welcome back to school!
Things are going to look a little different this semester, beginning with NTI, but I believe it will be a great year! It is important to start with a good attitude and goals! Some of you may find learning at home easy, while others may find it challenging. Everyone learns differently, and we teachers understand that! We look foward to the day when we can all meet together in person to learn again. For now, let's talk about making goals for success. In a classroom setting, your teachers have a set schedule for activities throughout the day, so learning at home will take planning. I understand that some of you will be able to just tackle any activity you are given, while others like my own child may have to wait for help when I am back from work. Some of you may have a set space where you can learn with ease, while others may struggle to find a quiet space. Take a deep breath. It's going to be okay!
I like to set goals for myself with most things I need to get done. You don't have to have a fancy planner! You can use a wall calendar, or even lined paper, but goal setting is important. Start by writing down important dates for Google meets, assignment due dates, and quizzes! Then create a plan to work on your assignments each day. Do the best you can! We are all learning!
I have created a Google Classroom for each K-3 Primary Talent Pool, 4-8 GT, and 9-12 GT where we can communicate. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know!
