2016 PCC G/T Graduate makes TV Art Workshop Appearance
G/T Art graduate Katie Davidson made a guest appearance on Christopher Epling's Art Workshop program on PikeTv in April 2016. Epling is a former guest artist in residency (2013-2015), and this was a wonderful way to culminate his time with G/T Art students in Perry county. The video was put on YouTube for public viewing today. I am so proud! Follow the link below. We wish Katie the best!

Robots and new curriculum on the way!
Gifted and Talented recently made a purchase for four small robots from the Terrapin company. There are two Bee-Bots, one Blue-Bot (bluetooth accessible), and one Pro-bot (looks like a race car). Along with the robots, an instructional manual, program tiles, and maps were ordered to enhance each new learning experience with the robots. Students will experience everything from basic coding to the series of codes it would take to create a piece of art.
Also, new curriculum has been ordered, including books in Crime Scene Investigation, Historical Trials, Mathematical Mysteries, Public Speaking, Leadership for Students, Greek Mythology, and Philosophy for Teens! Miss Howard is very excited to begin these new units of discovery at each of the Perry County schools!
